"The trainer does not work with some DLCs. We won't add support for these DLCs because it would break the trainer for owners of the basic game. Trainer update reports regarding a DLC will be ignored. The trainer will only be tested against, and updated for the basic game."

Is that even relevant now? They merged the codebases for ONI and Spaced Out! back in June 2021. The message from 0x90 was from the December before that.

Perhaps we can raise Oxygen Not Included: Spaced Out as a separate trainer request (Like a new game) To make the two distinct from each other?

I agree with this idea and have submitted a new Request for a new trainer for the DLC Spaced Out, separate from the base game.

0x90 has final say

Not sure if it's the best time to bring this back off hold. They did two updates in Feb and two updates in March.

This is their roadmap that they posted back on Jan 28th:

We’ve got two core projects happening in the first half of the year: tech improvements and a free content update!

After a whirlwind two years, we’re excited to finally have time to dig into the backlog of technical tasks for both Spaced Out! and the base game.

We’ll start by working on highly-requested mod support for WeGame (just launched!) and support for Steam Deck in the coming weeks.

Then the next several months will be all about:
Performance improvements
Bug fixes both old and new!
Building out our collection of developer tools
Streamlining our workflow behind the scenes


While the programmers concentrate on that, the art team is dreaming up an awesome new content update—free for all players of both the base game and Spaced Out!

Some of the ideas we’re exploring for this free content pack include quirky new Duplicants, new critter morphs, and fresh decor and recreation buildings, all designed to expand opportunities for expressive gameplay.

We’re aiming to get this out to you just before summer, in time for Klei Fest.


So I am guessing they will be doing frequent updates still, at least 2-3 per month.

This game has been on hold for updates for a whole year. Please remove the hold and note that the Skills option no longer works.
