Yes, we had seen this earlier. We were unable to get it to work.

That file overwrite itself to the original version , we can edit it much as we want to but it restores itself to the original version. Also tested and its not working

But don't worry, we have a trainer in the works.

i found out you can use it offline, as i was going to take one for the team and intentionally get banned from multiplayer upon request. i am learning via live chat how to do it offline. You are welcome.

this was my original ticket to ubisoft support:

in light of the easy anti cheat being installed in single player, and the fact i do not wish to ruin other peoples online experience due to the fact i presume single player is intertwined with multiplayer, i wish to request i, myself and my ubisoft account if necessary, be banned from multiplayer in the game watch dogs 2, without being banned by easy anti cheat, preemptively and before any issues can or could arise, solely so i can cheat in single player when i wish, without having the risk of ruining other peoples enjoyment of the watch dogs 2 experience. i personally hate multiplayer aspects of single player games in general, and request on this individual basis, i be banned indefinitely and preemptively from multiplayer solely so i can enjoy cheating in single player, as is permissible in your terms of service:

in particular, this line states:

, Any attempt to edit, corrupt or change game code or data that affects online play is prohibited. Though modifying game data for single player play is tolerated, it’s at the user’s own risk and may trigger anti-cheat detection.

so, in summary, for the benefit of others, in light of my intent to cheat in single player when the opportunity arises, so that i do not hinder or ruin multiplayer for others, i wish for a temporary but indefinite ban for watch dogs 2 multiplayer aspects be placed on my account, without being put on easy anti cheat, so that i am not banned from other games using easy anti cheat. but instead am banned from multiplayer solely from this game, called watch dogs 2. any reply is appreciated, and i hope we can work this out. i do not make this request lightly. i just want to enjoy single player my way, without hindering others.

How to enable offline mode:

1. Go to the Settings menu in the Uplay PC client by clicking the menu button in the top left corner of the window
2. Click network on the left hand side and check the box "Always start Uplay in Offline Mode"
3. Apply the settings change by restarting the Uplay PC client.

That's good info, thanks for that. We may have to send that transcript to them once the trainer is released in the event that they do ban someone for using it offline.

I was just about to post something similar, but eagle took care of that for me. They basically said as long as its offline its okay in Customer Support.

That's progress. A few days ago they advised me against using a trainer but to enjoy the game in offline mode. Maybe if we keep asking they'll get tired of hearing it and change some things.

Great updates, thanks for the offline mode. Might be a good idea to disable these if you dont use them too. (Just in case online mode somehow re-enables).
