Hi everybody!
I'll try to help you with the research points glitch when using option 1 of the trainer.
This is how I manage to do it and it works for me.
First of all, you have to find a research point in the map without using any option of the trainer. I use one located in Marin, in the first zone after the prologue, below a dock, in the marina. Stay very near from the desired point.
Then, restart the game with the trainer. I use the version just before the new release of today, with option 6 and 7 broken. Activate option 1, then return to the main menu and from there, resume to your game.
Afterward, go and grab the research points, with the quadricopter in my case, and you'll see that it remains on the minimap.
Last, go back to the main menu et resume to the game. Grab again the research point. Do it as long as you need.
It is tedious but it works for me.
I tried to be as clear as I can, but I'm not natural in English...^^ I hope it will help you.

There are several posts spread about the thread about how to achieve this bug/glitch with the trainer. Would someone mind compiling them into a single set of instructions with the accompanying video links so that I can post it on the game's mainpage? I would, but I haven't played the game and not sure what some of it means. thx
I have tried everything on the list and have read the whole thread twice looking for the answer to my issue. When I use the trainer it says trainer cannot find game. I followed all the instructions and tried many,many times. Maybe there has been an update? Uplay is offline and I am pretty experienced with CH trainers. What am i missing that everyone else gets? Thanks for the help.
Why don't you set the game to run in a window, then create a video showing how you are launching the trainer, browsing to the WatchDogs2.exe, continuing past any prompts, getting into the game's main menu then pressing F1 to activate trainer. Then we might be able to see what you are doing wrong.
