The performances of this security app is getting on my nerves

Use less punctuation in your posts and it won't trigger the block. We must keep our security level extra high as we are attacked no less than 100,000 times per day from people trying to insert those characters in an attempt to gain access to our database.

A regular sentence with the appropriate punctuation would be acceptable though, right? You just mean excessive punctuation?

It just depends on the words surrounding the punctuation, how much is used, etc. If you are replying to a post, the punctuation in the quoted post also counts. Anything that could possibly be used in an SQL injection attack is blocked.

I should have known better (memory fugue)...while text formatting is fully legit, it's still considered as offensive/intrusive, example: [ url ] etc...

Chris, do you have some tricks or stratagems to alleviate/circumvent this?
Because it's a pain, especially when trying to explain some tech stuff.

Not to bug you, I know it must be a torment for yourself also if you have to go through the same 🙁

I feel your pain Marc, it happened to me a couple of days ago. Maybe something here will help:

-If you use Ad Block turn it off for the CH website.

-For whatever reasons I have fewer problems when posting (especially when editing) when I use IE instead of Chrome.

-Excess punctuation does seem to trigger it. Especially when editing a post later.

-If you see that single editing info line that's often created at the bottom when we go back later and edit a post, delete that before saving.

-If you preview a message and go back and the process eats your text, either copy it before previewing or if you forget, just keep clicking back and you should get the text back.

I already do all (and I mean "all" ) of your recommendations, and not using Ad Block.

Using Firefox as browser, but yes, I should try IE ... again, forgot the reason(s) why I opted to eradicate it

Heh, well, just a few years ago I used Firefox as my go to browser but I can't for the life of me remember why I switched either.
