And what did change on your PC since yesterday?
Something is messing with the game files and/or trainer and you have to find out what causes this interference.
Perform a clean boot with Windows and try to rule out what might be the culprit (Clean boot -> [urlsupport.microsoft.com/en-us/help/929135/how-to-perform-a-clean-boot-in-windows'>Link). Or you wait until sometime this or the next week and install the new Fall Creator's update for Windows 10 from scratch (should you use Windows 10).
Nothing that I am aware of. What sort of thing might cause it. This is where I'm stuck, not knowing about this stuff sorry.
Thank you and again apologies I seem to be a bit clueless with all this stuff BUT I followed the microsoft Win7 clean startup thingy and also too the opportunity to defrag and optimise disks etc.
Well, this appears to work. Cleaned up, did the clean restart thing and then run both CH and game as admin per normal. Worked a treat again!

Which security software do you use? Bitdefender 2018?
Have you tried running the trainer as administrator?
I have just updated game and trainer; both started perfectly
With the new options for pit crew, i was expecting to see some options for maxing the pit crew
Maybe something will be added later on
But regardless the CH team has done brilliantly to give us a new trainer this fast
