i am playing steam version of the game, i cant seem to activate the trainer...been pressing f1 like crazy on main menu

You're probably not playing the English version of the game. Both the Traditional Chinese version and the Japanese version use a different EXE.

Unfortunately changing the file NOBU14SR_JP or NOBU14SR_TC to NOBU14SR_EN and launching the English version won't get you anywhere. It will not work no matter what.

Sadly the code is completely different. Simple renaming or porting isn't possible. The trainer only works for the English version.

Could I increase Gold or items in the editor?

I'm having the same issue with not being able to add resources to my selected retainer.

Other options seem to work just fine, however. Trainer starts up and activates just fine, so all is good there.
