Long time member, first time posting... I think anyway

I just wanted to report this updated trainer no longer works on my system. I have been using it for a few years now and the trainer will not recognized the game is running. I didn't have this issue on the last version or the ones prior.

I know all the steps to insure trainer will run proper, IE. Turn off anti Virus, Malwarbites, run as admin. Restart trainer... nothing,

Please verify that our latest trainer v1.0.0.167 still matches the game version.

Did you try to exclude the trainer exe file and the - Work - folder in this location -> C:\Users\YourWindowsUserName\Cheathappens\ ?

Or even temporarily uninstall your security software?

I have confirmed my game is running 1.0.0.167 and my trainer is also for that version..

I have excluded the trainer directory and its files in my Windows defender and my malwarebites programs.

I restarted game today, "Game not found" I did however reset the trainer about 4times and then I finally got "Game found" trainer working..

Not sure why I had to reset so many times but I got it to work..

Long time user, first time poster. I have been running into some issues with the current version of this trainer, which I'd love to believe are simply user error somehow.

The issues I'm running into are, well, strange. Sometimes the trainer doesn't realize the game has been launched, so it won't allow the Trainer to be activated. Other times it will let me activate, but some of the functions don't seem to work evenly, if at all. For example, there are times I try to follow the directions for the Add Population hotkey and it just ends up adding all the population to one city, regardless of how I try to select of move around the cities. Add this to the fact that the hotkey is bound to a key (+) that neither Civ will let me remap nor the trainer (it doesn't seem to want me to) and it gets messy.

Still, another odd behavior is being unable to close the trainer once the game is closed. I can click on X all I want and it just won't close. I don't seem to have that problem with the Galactic Civ 3 Trainer...but again...hoping I've just messed something up.

So far, I have tried a laundry list of combinations including:
--Uninstalling Civ 6, the trainer manager, and the trainer (in a variety of combinations)
--Launching this trainer from both inside the trainer manager as a standalone
--Doing both of the above as an Admin or not (to the extent you can from inside the trainer manager, mostly that's applying the rights to the application itself)
--Disabling/Uninstalling the litany of security software on my machine (in a variety of combnations)
--Launching the game from steam, from a desktop shortcut, from the installation directory, as an admin and not where possible for each

Despite all the time I've spent testing these combinations, I still get the same results. Since I've never had this kind of behavior happen, much less happen for this long, I thought it was time to post something and see if anybody could help?

I should had added to the initial post:
-This is Version 1.0.0.167 of the game
-All directories and files excluded from all security software on my system - when enabled, disabled and after reinstallation
-I've verified that the trainer and the game are synced up with regards to version and
-when parts of the trainer do work; there doesn't seem to be a pattern to the system conditions or anything else for that matter.

On a side note, the trainer has been frozen in the background of my system the entire time I've been writing these posts 😉

i have had the latest trainer for a while,but today i tried to run it several times, and get the splash screen, then windows asks for which application to run a tmp file?
have downloed again, tried it to no avail. windows 10 ultimate

It's good to know which Windows OS version you use, it would be even better to which security software you use.

Your security software kicks in and blocks/deletes the files the trainer is about to create. Please exclude the trainer exe file and the - Work - folder in this location here -> C:\Users\YourWindowsUserName\Cheathappens\ from any scans.
