This timer, is it somewhere visible?
yes on the bar up top there is an icon on how many days left..
There is an edict that you must read to activate the timer. I am not sure how to go about acquiring it, but the timer is active during the first act.
It’s an actual time limit a la Fallout. Once you’ve read this edict, a counter pops up at the top of the screen informing you how many days are left until all life is extinguished. Time passes whenever you leave to go to a new area (a.k.a. when traveling).

Provide a savegame then. (But in case this timer only runs when traveling, I've already added an intsant travel cheat which will not pass any time).
ok well it is based on travel on the map which in turn moves time so dont think you have to do anything else on that. btw dont know where save file is at :/
