Okay, another day, another wrinkle. I was playing the game without the trainer and just for fun pressed F1, the normal key to invoke the trainer. Obviously the trainer didn't launch but F1 is also the ingame keyboard shortcut for opening the Skill Tree page. I then had a thought that maybe it's the combination of two things trying to use F1 that was causing my game crash. So I ran the trainer and then the game then got into the main game and opened the Skill Tree via the gamepad. When it was opened I tried F1 to launch the Trainer and hey presto it launched without a crash. So I went back to the game and played a bit then tentatively tried some cheats. They all worked without problem - hurrah! So then I closed it all down and did it again just to make sure it wasn't a fluke. Sure enough the game still immediately crashes if I tried to launch the Trainer in anything but an already opened Skill Tree page. No idea why it's become so fussy when it hadn't worried about it before. I also tried, having got it working, to unload the trainer with the F11 key and then restarting the Trainer with F1 again. It worked for about six goes then finally crashed the game on the seventh go. So it seems it's still a tad flakey even when opening it on the Skill Tree page. I'm beginning to think it's maybe a graphics driver problem but it's a bit hard to say for sure, though clearly trying to launch the trainer and open the Skill Tree page at the same time is causing some problem or other for me.

Thanks for your information. That is very weird also because for me and most others it does not crash but I am glad you figured it out.

I have the same problem as the others in this post. I tried the latest version of the trainer first, but it crashes FC4 as soon as I activate the trainer. Tried the 1.3.0 trainer. That one I can activate, but if I activate "god mode" and take damage it crashes.

Will try the trick that "Mark_a" just posted and come back later.

It worked with the "fix" that "Mark_a" posted.

I made shure that the F1 key wasn't bound to anything in the game and then I pressed it and the trainer worked like a charm!
