A message to our PC players.
Hi Mafia fans. We hear you on the 30 FPS lock and are moving quickly on a update that will allow for higher framerates. Please continue sending your feedback to us, we're happy to listen to you all on how we can better improve the experience.
which of course gives the game on steam a mostly negative response
2K is paying the price now, a 36 % rating on steam, and people refunding left n right
We are currently working on an update for PC that will give players the option to play Mafia III at higher framerates. We’ll share more details about the update, and when you can expect it to arrive, very soon. In the meantime, the team welcomes feedback and would like to hear from you about what performance adjustment options are important to you.
We’re actively considering a number of additional post-launch improvements on PC that would give players more control over how they can tailor the game’s experience to suit their rig’s performance. It’s been an incredible journey developing Mafia III and we couldn’t be more excited to get the game in your hands and hear what you think!
More FPS soon... so for me , i leave negative review about 30FPS lock , if they change it , i change my review.
So get a grip people 30 fps is for a short period of time, and hopefully it will take them 2 - 4 days tops to increase the fps to 60+ wishful thinking i know but 30 fps will not ruin it for me since i know either the developer will get a work around sorted or someone on a forum will find a work around.

When there's a frame cap on a console to PC ported game it is pretty much impossible to just patch, since it is tied with the games physics. You almost have to redo everything in relation to the games physics, movement and possibly the cinematics too.
They simply did not have PC in mind when making this game and changed their minds in favor for as they would say "a broader audience" which usually is the nicer way of saying they'll get more sales and more money.
