Mafia III Message Board  

Mafia 3 is going to have 3 playable DLC being released for it sometime after the game launches on October 7th. I would like to get that DLC but I have already pre-order the non deluxe version of the game. I think my best bet is to wait until the individual DLC is released and find out then if the trainer for the game works with the DLC.

I am assuming you pre-ordered on Steam? If you can cancel I would. I always order physical copies just so I have a hard backup, plus if you order from Amazon and are a Prime member you can get the deluxe edition (physical copy) for $63.99. And get it delivered on release day for free. One of the nice new Prime member perks, they are giving usually 15 dollar discounts on all new pre-order games.

Hard backup won't help much if steam goes down due to DRM, and with hardcopy you can't use steam refund

Not only would I like to get a refund if needed but I would like to be able to play this game as soon as I want to keeping in mind that when it does launch at 3 am EST I will still be sleeping.

I wasn't aware that you couldn't use Steam refund on hard copies. The only reason I prefer hard copies is because Comcast limits my monthly data usage.
