Just thought I'd throw my experience in here too. Just tried using the latest version of this trainer.
Correct and corresponding versions (trainer and game executable). Ran the trainer as admin, tasked out of the game to activate, immediately crashed the game. Changed the graphics engine from DX12 to DX11 just to see if it would make a difference and nope, it doesn't. Have tried everything I could, but still having no luck at all. Antivirus is disabled, otherwise the PC is clean, latest drivers installed, etc.

Try to run the trainer as admin, then run the game, load your save till a point where you can move around, and activate the trainer there. see if that works.

same thing happens for me as well. Run trainer as admin, run game, activate at main menu, crashes on game load.

Did that on the latest Windows 10 Pro x64 with Win Defender enabled and an exception in place for my trainer folder.

Downloaded the latest trainer and the game from STEAM with all DLCs
Installed the game, ran the game in DirectX11 mode and set things up - quit to Desktop
Launched trainer with admin rights
Launched the game (DirectX11 mode)
Pressed F1 in the game's main menu and activated the trainer
Started a new game, played for 2hrs, activated and deactivated most of the options without a crash or any hassle

Seems some people have to look after their PCs.

Same happens to me. Took me several times to realize that the trainer was just straight crashing the game and that it wasn't something else happening.

Started the game this morning without the trainer and at least got a save point in now.

I started the trainer after loading my game and within seconds the game crashes straight to desktop.

I have tried this and crash a few seconds after hitting F1. I have tried removing the flash player windows update someone suggested too. Game runs fine until F1 is pressed.
