I am interested in this game, but don't know very much about it. Is it a multiplayer and or internet required game? How would a Trainer work and be made if game is multiplayer and requires internet connection (Ex: Elite Dangerous)? Clarification and thoughts on this appreciated

Trainers on multi-player games only serve to destroy the game for everyone else. Executing a sane multiplayer game seems all but impossible as it is. Contributing to the insanity is patently not nice. Even when there is a single player mode, it is often impossible to separate the multiplayer from the single player mode. Even if you can, the site ops often don't make a distinction. Elite was made to prevent piracy. That is the sole reason that the single player mode is also forced on-line. Running a trainer, runs the risk of being detected, and having the player banned. Further problems arise when the coders forced the game stats data to be held on their own server, making it almost impossible to access with a trainer.

Another blow on piracy, another dump on consumers. Even though Elite was created because of the freely given generosity of the consumers, providing all of the funding to make this game exist, that spirit doesn't always flow back the other way from the owners.

Its not a multiplayer game. Its in a basic MP world. You can see and kill them but thats it. People need to understand this.

MP game vs. MP world. I'm not sure that is a distinction without a difference.

From what I understand, seeing another player is fairly rare. So, crying about ruining the game isn't really valid.

If a Trainer is made for this game, how might it work without affecting other players? I don't know very much about this game, but is it multiplayer? I just read a bit ago on IGN that the Servers will be wiped before game release. If it is not a MP game, why are there Servers? Clarification and thoughts appreciated

It is not Multiplayer. Its a single player game set in a basic mp world were you can see the other people that would enter into your lobby if you were in the area as them. You can not trade or co op. I believe you can kill them and that's it. But to see another person is like trying to win the lottery. They did say after sales and games released and the interest in the MP side go's up they may look at doing more for that side.

Thats the same thing I've seen and read from various interviews with Sean. Something similar would be Journey, where you have a chance to come across other players. NMS will have a similar thing, execpt there will be other players you can meet, but the distance between each other will be vast to the point you may never see another player even if you play the game for however long you'd play it. You have a slightly better chance of coming across other player's discovery trail.

Its been said that if you come across another player, you can't interact with them in any way except seeing each other (unsure about weapons fire). If you drop something, they can't see it or interact with it.
