The current STEAM trainer works fine with the latest STEAM version of the game. I had dropped the request with no penalty and it got reported by the same people again. This is not nice and not how it works and if I see this again I will give a penalty:
If I remember correctly its a setting. You can choose between third person camera or first person.

I have played this game using the latest trainer and I can confirm that the trainer stops working randomly for shields and hull. It stopped working once in sector 3 near the jump gate to 4 and then I had to quit for the day. The next time I played I only got to sector 2 and it stopped working either the first or the second area. I tried saving and exiting both the game and the trainer after it stopped and then restarted both and it didn't fix it. However, yesterday when I took my time getting through the game, trying to cause it to happen so I could save the game and send it to you, I was able to play all the way through to get the mission to fix my DNA without it failing.
Maybe it stops working only when you have a specific Ship, Item, Loadout, etc. loaded. When it stopped for me, I was using the starting ship and yesterday when I was able to do a full playthrough, I had the gunship.

Well, I played a lot more with both the Gunship and the Interceptor and the trainer hasn't failed me yet so I don't know what it could be.

Howdy. I'm having a bit of a problem with the trainer for v220.127.116.11595. Whenever I use the "unlimited resources" option, it causes the game to CTD.
1) Activate the option while in flight (does not crash), press tab to enter menu (crashes on pressing tab). 2) Activate the option while in menu (does not crash), press tab to return to flight (does not crash), re-enter menu (crashes on pressing tab). 3) Activate the option while in menu (does not crash), press tab to return to flight (does not crash), deactivate option, re-enter menu (no crash, no effect). 4) Activate the option while in menu (does not crash), deactivate option, exit menu menu to flight (no crash, no effect).
On every crash, the UE4 crash reporter pops up with a stack trace. I've uploaded it here in case it would be of any use to you (can't attach .txt): brutix.com/img/everspace-debug.txt
