Windows 10 is here for at least 9 years or until 2025 I have this information from a 1st class authority Microsoft will keep making Windows 10 better and better as time goe's on, so anyone who has not upgraded yet seriously needs to consider getting Windows 10.

There may also be a possibility that Microsoft will put a fee on Business's using Windows 10 this remains to be seen as it would be a real blow to companies if this did happen, only time will tell.

Microsoft publishes their product lifecycles with key dates:

The 2nd point has to do with the Microsoft Enterprise licensing choices in which one of choice is the ability to pay monthly instead of obtaining an agreement on volume licensing. This has been a choice since Windows Vista and businesses are not mandated to choose this path. News outlets may have twisted this choice into a FUD article making it appear like it's the only route.

It will be most likely 2020 before I change to win 10.

i've had to make the switch to Windows 10 not by choice but mostly because of the purchases i have made recently. Alienware 15 R2 and HP Spectre both come with Windows 10 Preloaded. isnt so bad as far as i can tell.

It is nice and all, and they can keep making it better by all means, but it does not change what Windows 10 is made to do, as I've said before on here it has a backdoor that Microsoft can use as they see fit by their terms of service including it is by default set to share your bandwidth although you can disable that now I've been told. If you do wanna upgrade to W10 I suggest at the least going with enterprise LTSB version as it has none of the intrusive bloatware.

For me I would not want to pay any MONEY into Microsoft especially to upgrade to Windows 10 when and while it is free until the 29th of July 2016 (4 Days away), I cannot imagine how many people that WILL not upgrade as of now, because whether we or you like it or not Microsoft will set a DEADLINE for this FREE upgrade and those people who do not upgrade will be falling into Microsofts nicely formed TRAP, they will (Microsoft) rake in Millions of dollars and £££££'s from those people who will not upgrade, whichever happens Microsoft cannot lose out at all. 😢

It still mildly amuses me that people willingly choose Windows as their primary OS.

Funny you should say that because like me I purchase my Desktop PC complete with windows from a store, people who build their own may decide to use an alternative OEM, at a guess I would say that members on CHU maybe 95% use windows, I wonder why the minority do choose a different OEM,i.e. cost, preference, who knows,at the end of the day I do like Windows 😀
