Sean Murray has posted August 9th for PS4 & PC versions...

At least I'll be able to enjoy the outdoors this summer... The game will get even more polished so I guess it's all good in the end... Still it would have been great to have the ORIGINAL date August 9th, I scheduled days off for June...

I scheduled some time off that would have lined up with the game release but at least I had more reason for it than just to play this game. I'd be upset if I was only planning it for game play reasons. This title is so massive that you can use any time off or weekends to play and you'll never see 1% of the game. Over 90% of what you do see you will likely be the only player to visit that area of the game. So even if you started playing the game late, you will still see stuff nobody else has seen before you. For that kind of reason there is no race to be the first except for that center of the starting galaxy. That race to the center I feel would just miss out on so much of what the game is about. I'll take my time and get there when I get there.
