Total War: Warhammer Message Board  

For those who have not installed the game yet. The listed size of the game on Steam is 25 gigs but when it downloads it is only a little more then 9 gigs although when the download is done the installation size is 20 gigs. Also when I first started the game I got to a very pretty black screen where my computer just hung there. So after about two minutes I shut down the game and I saw when I got back to the desktop that there was a message from Windows asking me if I wanted to give the game permission to access the firewall on my PC. After that I reran the game and what happened this time was that I got to a screen that which had the games title and all the companies listed on it that were involved in making the game the PC stayed there for about two or three minutes and then continued on normally and the game played fine.

It seems your PC was buggy and faultive. My steam installation went flawless.

No my PC is not buggy the reason for the problem when I started up the game was an issue that was fixed by a day one hotfix that was deployed later in the day after I first installed the game.

i have blackscreen in start game ,have follow internet post for fix, resolved with disabled internet connection for the game

almost the same thing but after I restarted it went right into through the intro scene and had been working just fine and that was almost right after release all though with any total war game if you minimize during a Critical thinking/process then you might get a freeze.

The loading screen is really long...

It takes about 3-5 minutes till it is loaded.

I had the same exact issue the OP had, and my PC is not buggy either..

Have you logged back in to Steam since you first installed the game so you can download the games day one hotfix yet?
