    Did a little checking and noticed you don't want to add an option for adding Unity, so I'm guessing this is a bug

    Pause the game (press Space bar)
    Enable the option
    Use option as described in the instructions

    "toggle on and while on when you click on planetary things, they instantly become under your control" This is what it says but i'm not sure what it means by "planetary things"

    I noticed that the fast research option bugs out on any research that has 20k requirement and above, instead of clearing it like the predecessor research, it plops it at 6k from there on.

    So when you select a research slot and choose a 10k research item, it works, but if you choose any research at 20k and above, it doesnt bring the number to zero but instead brings it to 6k, where you have to wait the 200+ months for it to finish researching.
    After the durasteel research is when the 20k research selections start cropping up. 😋

    Caliber I've already got 3 larger-than-20k research items qued in the attached savegame. you can easily swap them for something else since most of the research i have now is 20k+. Following trainer instructions,
    run trainer with admin privilage
    start game
    f1 at main menu
    load fri save
    click on research window tab - see the qued research or select different research.
    Hit END for faster research and it pops 6-7k instead of finishing the research.

    My antivirus is always shut down before i go to play since it has issues with the temp files created by the cheathappens trainers. I have vipre, in which i shut down the firewall and active scanner first before shutting down vipre as vipre likes to leave running services if you dont perform the shutdown in that sequence.

    Windows 10 enterprise - licensed
    saves are located in C:\Users\Hakuri\Documents\Paradox Interactive\Stellaris\save games

    The in-game situation is just exploration and expansion with a bunch of side research quests. I dont have any mods or dlc for stellaris.

    I will say that i don't know how well-set the ai factions are supposed to be, but i figured on first contact with them they should be primitive. They weren't, they were listed as having higher tech and military strength after I encountered them, after all the instant research and building and planetary conquest. The save I'm providing is really my first playthrough of the game, I have not played this before hand. When i looked at the fleet of the enemy ai, i noticed they had battle ships where i hadn't even researched that class yet, due to the weird 20k+ to 6k bug. The steccashi imperium is currently under a forced contract to reveal transmission data so you can click and view their ships. The amount of ships they have in their fleet also has me thinking the trainer is giving them the same instant build ability.

    The really large research items require more than you can easily add in research points. So open the console and type in finish_research and hit enter.

    Stellaris console commands like instant build and such can affect the AI. This has been like that since the launch. Why Paradox decided on that, who knows. From what I remember, finish_research, research all, instant movement, instant colony. and instant build are gonna affect the AI.
    You might try turning AI off during this.
