The windows store trainer download contains the steam trainer. This explains your problem. I've notified PWizard and he will fix it soon.

I purchased the Steam version of the game so obviously downloaded the Steam version of the trainer but when I tried to open it, on the very first occasion I managed to get the cheat UI but it force closed shortly after activating it. Every attempt to open the trainer, even after several re-downloads I get a Windows message asking how I would like to run it with a few options from the MS store (paint, IE, Adobe, etc.). In all my years of using strictly CH trainers I've never seen this error so I thought I'd reach out directly to the community and forums as I'm well versed in the precautions one must take to make sure the trainers run properly.

As a side note I initially attempted to use this trainer with trainer manager and then attempted to use it without TM from an exempted folder I keep for just such occasions. I got the same results. Help a brutha out?

Clean your browser's cache, and like CyPHeR369 wrote already:

Delete trainer and all files in

C:\Users\USERNAMEHERE\AppData\Local\Temp
C:\Users\USERNAMEHERE\Cheathappens\Work
C:\Users\USERNAMEHERE\AppData\Roaming\Cheat Happens\0x90

Reboot PC to clear excess memory, get a fresh copy of latest trainer and
make sure trainer in is folder excluded from virus scans. Empty quarantine folder if needed.

C:\Users\USERNAMEHERE\Cheathappens

may need to be added to exclusions as well. Run trainer as admin, read the instructions and try again.

Yeah, that's all the stuff I was talking about that I do anyway because I've been a loyal CH user for years and I pay attention to the stuff the devs say. Still not working after all that...no sweat though because debug mode still works just fine.

So I know this is 4 months later....but did that get fixed? I tried downloading the windows version but when I open the file the zip contains it ends up being the steam version.

I am also curious about this as it was one of my deciding factors in taking the plunge and buying a subscription, only to see that the download contains a trainer for the steam version and not the windows store version.

I have turned off my Windows 10 firewall and have exempted the trainer from Windows Defender. It shows up as EXEMPTED. However, I keep getting this virus warning: Trojan:Win32/Occamy.C. Since it quarantees the trainer, I can't figure out how to un-quarantee it.

Never had this problem with other CH trainers. Lifetime member, cause I trust them.

EDIT: I have the Steam version of Ori. When the trainer failed to work, I downloaded the Windows Store version. Guess what? It works! And the Windows version says "Steam Version" at the top. So someone zigged when they should have zagged.

Why is there two seperate trainers for the Windows store one and Steam? Why not both in one? Different coding? Also, why is there such a massive difference between the options of the Windows and Steam trainer versions? Could the Windows trainer work on the Steam game? Please help me understand.
