So games for example like Dying Light, you can run the game offline and with cheats enabled, cheat using a trainer to get what you like and then take the same save into a VAC enabled game. Working perfectly and perfectly safe because you are not modding online.

Thanks for the list! Though, perhaps you should add in your OP that playing Single Player on games such as Call of Duty: Ghosts and the like, you won't be VAC banned. Rather this is limited to co-op and playing online.

I know a lot of folks in other forums and here get confused about it.

Cheatin' online is bad, mmkay, you don't wanna ruin the experience for other players.

Sorry for these stupid questions, but I want to be sure.

    1.
    Offline single player means:
Go to the menu above in steam: Steam >> Go offline...
Restart STEAM client (to get into 'offline mode') and then play the SINGLE player campaign/component of any game.

    2.
Can you play the SINGLE player game campaign/component (of any game) while connected to steam AND still use the cheats from here (CH), without being banned?

As far as I know you do not get VAC for playing a single player games online with cheats, but I have not tried it myself as I do not want to risk my steam account. Like always with cheats its better yo be safe than sorry.

There is no such thing as a plea of innocence in my court, a plea of innocence is guilty of wasting my time. Guilty.

I'm trying a short answer: Whenever a single-player game has online content that matters in the game I would advise against the usage of any cheats that alter any of these specific numbers (e.g. credits, ammo).

Good for health, bad for education.
