Really, really annoyed! When not signed in latest Borderlands 2 trainer indicates "Premium" level membership required to download - go through effort and COST to get Premium status, now suddenly requires "Lifetime" status - ethically that sucks, even legally that may be questionable. Will certainly not be renewing! Cheat happens alright - you guys cheat your users!

LIFETIME is a level of PREMIUM. Monthly, Yearly and Lifetime are all PREMIUM accounts, just with different levels of access which are clearly marked across the site and multiple times throughout the checkout process.

    www.cheathappens.com/18787-PC-Borderlands_2_cheats

    Clearly marked as LIFETIME.

Also on this list which you checked a button saying that you read and understood.

No one was cheated here. You simply didn't pay attention and that is on you.

Now, if you wish to pay the difference between yearly and lifetime then I can do that for you and manually upgrade your account, but that's the best I can offer.

Beg to differ - again, when not signed in download is labelled as "PREMIUM" not "LIFETIME". had the label said "LIFETIME" I would know immediately that the monthly subscription would not be sufficient - you can hide behind semantics all you like, I still feel cheated - there is no indication up front that the trainer I wanted was only available through "LIFETIME" and not the initial level of "PREMIUM" available through a monthly subscription.
Yes, if I had dug around a little more I might have found the information that the game I was interested in had more than 20 patches and therefore required the LIFETIME level but how hard would it be for you to label the trainer like that up front? Surely that would be more ethical, more honest.
There can be only one reason not to do that - a honey trap that sucks in at least one monthly subscription.

Oh wow - you changed the page! You changed the label from "PREMIUM" to "LIFETIME"! Of all the unethical, dishonest things to do! Now I really do feel cheated.

Thank you for you offer to upgrade me (for a fee) to LIFETIME but I will not allow you to extort any more money from me.

you are not a victim of any ethical violation on behalf of this site, you are the victim of your OWN negligence. As a FREE member or YEARLY/MONTHLY PREMIUM member, the trainer is listed in capital letters as LIFETIME. Link

and in case you did not see that, if you click the download button it will forward you to a page that says YOU MUST BE A LIFETIME SUBSCRIBER TO DOWNLOAD THIS FILE Link

There was no trickery at work here! the requirements to download this trainer are CLEARLY stated in multiple places. Nobody else has ever made a similar complaint of accusing the site of tricking people into buying a membership.

I really don't care that nobody else has ever complained. That doesn't make my complaint any less valid.

When I first looked at the listing for the trainer (without signing in, not yet a member) it was clearly listed as "PREMIUM" implying that ANY premium level subscription (monthly, annual or lifetime) would be sufficient. After I signed up (and note that my currency has depreciated horribly against the dollar so this really hurt) I go back to the listing and find that it now tells me "LIFETIME"

The fact that you have changed the page that displays when you are not logged in as a member to read "LIFETIME" instead of "PREMIUM" AFTER I logged this complaint is evidence enough that you recognise there is a problem.

I do not deny that, had I spent some more time trolling through a variety of different links I could have figured out that the monthly subscription I thought was sufficient would not do. I have accepted that - you will notice I have not demanded my money back. I'll just notch that up to another lesson in the university of life BUT don't try and tell me that everything you did is above board. That's just nonsense and your actions show it.

PREMIUM = LIFETIME. The trainer DOES REQUIRE a PREMIUM MEMBERSHIP, the LIFETIME LEVEL OF PREMIUM MEMBERSHIP.

    Link

The trainer was labeled correctly. You didn't pay attention. Your fault, not ours.

You also checked a box saying that you read our policy (and the associated list of games that require lifetime).

    Link

We made every effort to make you aware of this policy before you upgraded. You ignored every one. No one here to blame but yourself. Case closed.
