"With the recent release of the Survivor mode and Permadeath --- and the recent trainer update --- it now seems that the 'no Damage' mode ( key #1) does not work with random animal attacks -- where one has to mash a key rapidly to survive."
Same here - under animal attack the health lows down. 🤔
I though it's was only happening with me...
Greetings!
so can you just select to change to this mode or do you have to completely start over with a new character?
does the no damage still work in the normal modes?

When you begin a "New Game" and select the Survivor or Permadeath options ---- then --- if you die --- the game is over and you must then start a new game from the beginning --- terribly frustrating. The 'no damage' works during the game normally ---- except when one is attacked by an animal and the only solution to live is to rapidly push one of the keys --- or else you take a lot of damage and die ---- game over.--- and it's REALLY over --- no save game to load ---- back to the beginning.
If a solution is possible for this ---- I would explore the possibility of an 'invisible' mode --- like what you guys provided for in Far Cry 4. That was a HOOT --- and made the game so much fun --- and ---- after all ---- this is what playing games is all about.

oh.. i see now. The game has scripted attacks where you have to press QTE type keypresses and do them fast enough or in order or you die from damage..
yeah, the trainer is designed to work with normal attacks, not scripted animal keyboard events.
I will have to see if I can find an example of this and try to bypass it or whatever
