I was thinking about streaming some steam games to my tv in living room via Steam Link. Can anyone confirm if the trainers work like this? I know that you could activate cheats, save, and then load the game normally. But would the other trainer options work as well? Thanks.

Yes, the trainers work with Steam Link it's just difficult to activate the options using the Steam controller. We were planning on supporting the Steam controller but they haven't released a proper API so that we can map controls to it. I guess no one bought the thing since they don't seem to care about supporting it for third parties.

So if I connect a keyboard to the steam link and then activate trainer on computer, then use the Fkeys to activate the trainer options via keyboard, It should work? Thanks for the reply it was very helpful

We didn't try that but I don't see why it wouldn't work. You can map the steam controller buttons to the same keys as the trainer and it will activate them if the trainer is running in the background.

but im planning to buy a steam link because i dont like to be in my room and prefer my living room etc but did someone try to use the keyboard or gamepad to activate the trainer successfully? or is it better to connect the keyboard on the steam link so i can use the trainer I just want to make sure before buying it
