This happened to me only when playing Dark Souls 1 (Prepare to die edition).
I haven't encountered a similar issue ever with any trainer. My computer doesn't have a numpad section as I use Alienware laptop. The root of the problem is that whenever I (right- or left click) on the feature to change to key, the trainer doesn't allow nor tell me to change the key(s). Nothing happens as I tried with different methods to overcome but the problem still persist. I would be most grateful if some administrator or trainer moderator could land a hand on it.
    Thanks in advance!

Go to the trainer troubleshooter page and download the trainer customization tool. The page can be found here Link

    Thanks friend!
Now I did create my key maps but where do I put the .dat file in in order to apply it to the trainer?

That is a good question, I have never customized my trainers. I imagine you would put it into the same folder that the trainer is in.

Thanks for the answer but this is what I did as the first when I got the costumizer. Not even a slight change.

Okay, according to the Customizer readme, The trainer will look for your custom key file, and if present will adjust the keys to the custom keys you selected automatically. Note that the trainer graphic will not change to reflect the new keys but they will work.

I have tested it with the trainer for Tropico 5. I changed the option from the number pad 1 to the number pad 9. I placed the dat file in the same directory as the trainer. The trainer graphic still showed the option as being mapped to the default key of 1, but if I pressed it, nothing happened. Pressing my custom key of 9 activated the option.

I read that too and yes, it makes sense. The trainer might be bugged to not show actual keys (as it doesn't show to me either). It seem to work when you do which I think this should work here as well. Thanks a bunch! Appreciate your help Elder!
