If the trainer is running with the No Reload option the game will CTD when I loot a blunt weapon from a corpse - pool cue, baton, etc. Only those kind of items seem to be an issue, nothing else seems to cause it. I've uninstalled the game, removed the game folders from the steam install, appdata, and document folder and done a clean fresh install and get the same result on the vanilla game without any mods. If this isn't a trainer bug I'd appreciate help in determining what the issue is. Machine has a fresh copy of Windows 10, latest Nvidia drivers (441.08 on GTX1080, did the same on the last revision as well) and passes Memtest. Have tried with Admin perms, no AV, no Firewall. No CTD when using any other trainer option or combination of options has been found, but No Reload provides a consistent crash.
Occasionally after the game CTD I get a debug message when I close the trainer.
The following error happened: Invalid memory access-->Error#3135
Reliable testing scenario: start with vanilla game, no mods, no F4SE. Start game, activate trainer, turn no reload option on (F7). Go through vault, kill roaches (picking up the baton from the desk causes no issue.) Complete initial Sanctuary quest with Codsworth, head to Concord. Bypass Red Rocket Station, save game just before discovering Concord. Sneak up on raiders from the rear, kill the rearguard raider: should have a pool cue. Looting the pool cue should CTD. If No Reload is disabled beforehand, no CTD. If I save just before shooting the raider and turn No Reload off, no CTD. Reload last save and turn it on, then kill and loot, CTD.
I know this is 01/2020 and i just bought the game off Steam on sale and played for a little while and i had a few cheats activated and i killed a mutant and picked up his sledgehammer and the game crashed to desktop. I restarted the game activated num 1 and f7 played for maybe 45 minutes and killed another enemy and picked up a baton and crashed again so i thought maybe the no reload was the problem so i tested again on another mutant that dropped a sledgehammer and it did crash. So i played without cheats for about 5 hours and never crashed, so i'm with ya. I have this game for ps4 and bever crashed. Turn on the cheats and kill a mutant with a sledgehammer and o pretty much promise it will crash. I gonna test it again just to not feel insane.
Well this was made by "Bug-thesda", I found activating the trainer after you have loaded into the game to be best, once assets were loaded. They don't fix their games, they let modders do the work for them. Launching the game with the Fallout 4 Script Extender may help, or just search Fallout 4 CTD fixes, there are tons of them out there.
Thanks, Just started the game and into about 15 minutes it ctd when an enemy hit me. I had just activated god mode num.1, this was the debug report, not sure what it means.I waited to activate the trainer after i was in game, usually activate at menu but tried what you suggested. I'm starting to lean to the god mode cheat that's causing ctd. Thanks, Darren
