Hello. I am trying Webroot SecureAnywhere, and because of the way it is advertised, I thought it would never flag trainers as threats in a scan. Maybe just when I tryed to launch them. But they flagged some 20 trainers as threats. Bitdefender had no problem with them, and I know they are not a problem.

I did not delete them, and the good side of Webroot is that I can leave them and the program monitor's it for strange behavior (and probably won't bother me with it)

But I wonder. Does anyone has any experience with this antivirus? Can you recommend it? If not, which one do you recommend?

    As always, thanks a lot.

I have used AVG Free professionally and on my own systems. Never had any major issues with it at all.

Thanks, guys! Webroot is really light and does not bother me after setting it to monitor the behavior of the trainers. Seems like a winner.

I have a completely different experience with Webroot and these trainers. Most of the time when I try to load a trainer, webroot catches it and deletes it automatically apparently because of the tmp file created by the trainers. ~Mnn133.tmp gets flagged and quarantined no matter how many times I restore it and tell Webroot to ignore it. Trainers will work for a few days and then the same thing again. ~Mnn133.tmp flagged and quarantined. Worse than all that though is sometimes it goes ape**** when it flags ~Mnn133.tmp and bluescreens my PC.

It has gotten so irritating that the majority of the time I just use Cheat Engine and do the work myself. I Love Cheat Happens trainers, been using them for 9 years. It would be awesome if Cheat Happens could maybe email or call the people at Webroot and work this **** out.

Really? Webroot didn't do that to me. Only monitored and allowed me to choose. I decided to try Norton, too. Curious, but it's Norton that is doing exactly what you are describing, and giving me a hard time "whitelisting" the trainers in every possible way, through all Norton's components (AV, Firewall etc). Great protection, but a little too much for one who likes its trainers like us.

I'm guessing I'll be staying with Webroot.

I had been using McAfee for several years with zero problems. Then one day they included a product update with the new virus definitions, and it was a nitemare after that. Kept flagging and deleting the trainers and not just CH.

I called and asked them if there was any way to temp disable it completely for gaming and they said nope. So I said bub-bye to them and have used MS Security Essentials and Malwarebytes ever since with no problems.

There comes a time when the gems cease to sparkle,
when the gold loses its luster,
when the throne room becomes a prison,
and all that's left is a man's love for his CH Trainers.
