All of a sudden, I've started getting an error message that says "Could not create HELP.txt file." Clicking OK causes another message that says "Could not install file - Installation failed."

I've uninstalled my antivirus. I've disabled Windows Defender. I've disabled Windows Firewall. I've removed Internet Explorer. I even reverted my system back to the earliest restore point. NOTHING has helped.

I know it's a problem with the authentication process, but I can't for the life of me figure out WHAT is causing it.

    Any suggestions?

What is your Windows OS version & edition? Insider Preview?

And which security software do you use?

Running into the same issue since a recent bitdefender update.

Could you specify what file in what folder it is trying to create so I can whitelist it?

Same goes for the Cheath###.tmp file that the trainers try to create, it would help greatly if the ### was a fixed number every time so I can whitelist it.

I suggest you try it with a the usual scan exclusions in the AV module for the trainer exe file and the Work folder located here -> C:\Users\YourWindowsUserName\Cheathappens\ and completely disable the Advanced Threat Defense module as you cannot exclude folders or *.tmp files in there.

But you still might run into this error message.

For further support, please contact Bitdefender.

I'm having the same issue. But, i'm using Windows Defender only.
It's not happening with all Trainers.

    Here's a screenshot: i.imgur.com/mzwkG1Z.png

I already added the CheatHappens folder to the exclusions, but, when it occurs, i simply disable Windows Defender and everything works fine.

    I'm using Windows 10 - Version 1709.

Thank you for letting us know. Please take it to Microsoft and let them know about this being a false positive again.
