I have found a way to get the original CH trainer to work with the Ultimate collection version, all you have to do is replace the cnc3game.dat with the no cd fix from here: Link

MAKE A COPY OF THE ORIGINAL AND BACK IT UP FIRST!

Then load the game normally and it should work. It worked for me and I am able to use invincible troops and instant sidebar powers.

When replacing the cnc3game.dat file do you have to rename the No cd fix file?

Sorry, I had not checked this in a while. I am sure you figured it out by now, but for anyone else, when you put the NoCD file in the folder, the name needs to match the original file name.
