This is a free game.. which means that likely it is a log into server type game.

can someone test this title for us?

1) run steam in offline mode
2) unplug completely your computer from internet
3) run this game
4) can you play against AI at this point?

i believe you can, but you just won't receive any gold from winning, or in game currency.

Yes, that's correct. You can duel the AI, but you will not earn coins and your progress will not be recorded while offline.

I want to use this in the story mode and random a.i. games, but if I have to be logged in to earn gold for the wins against the a.i., won't steam/the game's system notice the trainer and tag me, or something?

Just worried.

it doesn't detect anything. from what I can see it will only be a concern if you are playing other people but against the AI there shouldn't be any problems. you will still get the gold.
