    I am just curios what all of you think of Diablo 3, now that we all have had a chance to look back and consider things. Blizzard's many changes, both good and bad.

    For me I was most sad at the lack of offline mode, it was probably one of the biggest peeves for me. Not just because its always net dependent, but because modding the game is out of the question. Cheating on it, messing with, all that freedom is taken away for obvious anti-piracy.

    Lack of complexity. I have had this argument before that Blizzard ever since World of Warcraft became their go to game, they have charged ahead on over simplification of their video games. Now I know for many people this is really great, it allows everyone to enjoy the game much more smoothly and the learning curve is quite low. But for me stat padding my characters in Diablo 2 and skill trees was such a major point of the game. Character growth and development. The play style fitting your skills and stats. A lot of that was ditched for D3.

    What did I like about D3? To be honest, I don't know if any feature stands out. Being that it is a sequel we have to judge it by its predecessor and the former does everything nearly as well. Sure, not as lovely looking with its dated graphics.

    Don't get me wrong, Diablo 3 was a good title and it was entertaining. But when it came time for the expansion, looking at its high price point, I passed. For me the magic of the title kind of vanished. This is not a bashing thread, just curios to hear peoples thoughts. Cause some of you never played the original or second title.

    So what does everyone think of D3 today?

    I played Diablo 3 for about 3 months straight when I purchased the game plus the expansion, but even with those updates they're doing now (and they look cool as hell, Torment X and new Legendary item system, so you can equip their passive stats) I can't even open it anymore.

    I'm happy about the current state of the game, but honestly I'm tired of the same grinding everytime... If you care about lore, grab the expansion pack when it's on sale, totally worth it. It also adds a lot to the lategame content.
    PC: MSI MAG B550 || R7 5800X [PBO2 -25 / BO +200] || GPU: RTX3070 8GB || RAM: 4x8 @3200MHz CL16 || 1440p Dell IPS @165Hz
    Audio: MAONO AU-PM461TR || Anker Soundcore Q30 / Beyerdynamic DT 770 Pro @250Ω || Tangzu Wu Zetian || Topping DX3 Pro Plus

    RIP Miura.

    I have went back to play it several times now but it never lasts more than a few weeks. As mentioned in other posts the new updates are cool, the new legendary items are neat but in the end it just does not hold up (at least for me). Like CloneSRT10 said, if you can get the expansion on sale it is totally worth it, but really I find it to be just average most of the time.

    as great as the story mode was, there's no getting around the fact, that the entire game, is literally one big infinite grind

    if i could, i would refund it

    Waiting for it to go on sale sounds like the best thing. Cause at the 39.99$ price point they are asking for? I could buy two titles off of steam that I know will fill up much more time. But I do like the lore, so I suppose I shall wait for a blizzard sale.

    Still, I think they should bring that price down. Blizzard is notorious for keeping their prices high for incredible long periods.

    The campaign is good enough to play through. The replayability of the game is not so great though.
    Your bitterness, I will dispel

    Sorry the story was poor in my veiw. Not enough story talk in my veiw at all. It was more grinding, hack n slash!
