    The troubleshooting steps are posted on EVERY TRAINER and EVERY PAGE and with EVERY POST of a trainer. Perhaps we need to require a minimum of 5 people reporting an update is needed before we even look at it. The problem if we do not have some kind of measures in place is that after enough people "cry wolf" we simply will just start ignoring the cries until a few days later which will just delay those trainers that DO require an update. Of course we want to help those people with problems but constantly reporting to us after every single patch that a new trainer is required when 95% of the time it does not is impeding our ability to effectively do our job. All I am asking for is feedback on a possible solution to the problem.

    5 people seems a bit extreme, even I myself once had a trainer I couldn't get working when all I forgot to do was run it as admin. Now I didn't post about it just kept trying different things. But I personally test a trainer extensively before saying it doesn't work, and honestly never encountered where it didn't work besides it being an old ass game that has been retired or something, my point is if I report a trainer working I like to think I'm right and like kingkob said not all lurk on CH as much as some of us do but adding an invisible "rank ladder" to the severity a report is taken feels wrong when I think about it, tho it's a solution. That being said, I got a bit of a long shot solution could always get a couple of loyal CH users like you did with the CH promo club that when a game is reported with a trainer not working, to save YOU guys the time to go and test let those test it for you instead, if they do encounter issues themself then Cal or 0x90 can then redownload the game, but that kinda goes back to the "rank ladder" again lol. If you like the idea tho, let me know and I can try and explain in detail how I see it working out.

    Voluntary work that is of course, I would personally be willing to offer my assistance

    I would offer my services where I can. New build more space for perma games on my end and will be expanding that to.

    You know for the issues at hand, I don't even think one would need to worry about having space for perma games. As Drenus said in a post or two before yours;

    "but the main problem here, is that exactly those people, are those that don't read the threads, don't read the rules, or guides"

    That hits it on the head. You would not even need the games installed to walk a majority of the people through the steps listed all over this site.

    Your right, most won't read that's why I sent my suggestion to PWiz, frankly the best we can do is to adapt to them not adapt them to us, because people will be people and I am more than willing to donate my time to help out and for us to test instead of Cal and 0x90 who needs to spend their time better on coding on trainers that has recieved patches and saving space for those patches.

    As a matter of fact, you can say I donated 36€ to CH since It's what it costed for me to upgrade my HDD from a 1TB to 2TB which leaves me with 1 TB space free for CH

    If we need to throw a TB in the ring, I am in with that.

    It might be worth it to establish a separate discussion board for tossing these out to the community.

    This could accomplish two things. CHU could refrain from internal testing while waiting for the five (or other amount chosen) acknowledgements from users stating the purportedly defunct trainer was in fact failing. This could also spare any others expense by relying only on gamers with the access to the title already. Having assigned volunteers might incur cost at their expense if they needed to obtain the title(s).

    That being said, if possible, perhaps a notification could go out to those that have signed up as volunteers. That way if any in that group do possess access to the game they can be notified that testing has been requested.

    This would still leave a gap if no others were interested or had access to test, but perhaps that would warrant retiring of a trainer or another established check procedure.

    Forgive me if I am mirroring other comments as I have honestly only skimmed the discussion's first page at this point as I am viewing from work. Wanted to offer the thought that came to me just the same.

    That is the smartest thing I have ever heard anyone say about anything.

    Yeah, but having more than 5 volunteers increases the chances, but I shouldn't encounter a game I can't test, even if it doesn't work on Windows 8, I just use a VM to test it. And again if there are costs for me to obtain a game, I will note it down as a donation to CH

    In fact it wouldn't be such a problem if CH had the space for the data, since I constantly hear: "have to re-install this or that game", nowadays terabytes drives are common and the cost is negligible compared to the precious time saved.

    I have 5 swappable HDDs filled with 8 TB of games in my PC and it's still not enough, that's why I'm building another tower of swappable HDs to have my games ready whenever I want, running on the OS they where made for and the proper IE of that time.
