I forgot which, but there is an item that grants water breathing, just got to find it though...

There is a Potion called Killer Whale it increases Geralts air supply by %50 and also increases visibility underwater. It runs on a timer like most potions. Just don't remember how long it is.

But if you use unlimited use option for usables, like potions, that solves your problem.

Use unlimited damage F8, but turn it off when there are enemies around.
