Age of Empires 2 HD Message Board  

I just bought AoE2 today and already love it. But I noticed the resources go too quickly and my peasants don't bring them fast enough, hence me coming to CH. I upgraded to a lifetime membership just for this trainer...

...and it crashes my game. I've done all the troubleshooting needed to post. I have no DLC, my antivirus is off. I have also tried activating the trainer in-game, but it still crashed. I have the latest version of both game and trainer. Am I doing something wrong?

Aha! I found my problem! I had my game in Steam updated as a beta version, and the trainer did not work with this. So I changed it to opt out of betas and it worked!

Hi, how did you change it to opt out of betas?

Right click on the game in steam library and choose properties. THen go to beta tab and make sure itsays "NONE"

i just got the game to and the trainer just keeps instant crashing iv set my antivirus to exclude for the folder its in and the opt out of beta is off and still it crashes i also have the latest versions for game and trainer

Running the trainer as administrator helps alot


Some anti-virus need to be uninstalled to let the trainer do is job, you might have to white-list the trainer itself.
