Just an FYI, this game currently does not support SLI in any form. So having tri-SLI does absolutely nothing for this game.

The optimization in this game is absolutely terrible, but it's a known fact. They're working on it.

I've been having a blast with this game. Just a tip: Sometimes, Carnivores have...leftovers in them. I've managed to find weapons, armor, and tools at least one-two tiers higher than my current. It's completely random. But if you can survive taking on carnivores, I recommend it as a good source of gear. A lot of times you can just watch two dinos go at each other, and then loot the victim without having to fight yourself. The herbivores are no joke in combat, and can a lot of times kill whatever is attacking them. I watched two stegos tag-team a carnatosaur, and I got a metal pick out of the corpse. Very handy when I was still using the primitive one!

Well, buy or not. So far I'm 5 hours in, started my own server right of the bat. 30ms for me and my friends. As some others has said. It has DINOS, for me that was the sell. I'm glad i waited and didn't buy that other one, Stomping Land, or whatever, that one was a huge let down apparently. But so far these Dev's seem to take they're work very serious. I followed it for a while, and waited a bit after the release. But couldn't contain myself. Its like these guys has made the game i ever wanted. Or at least that's the way the game is headed. =)

Ill be getting this in a few days, ive been watching someone constantly play it on youtube and im sold on it..

As for FPS issues, selecting the right graphic options will help a great deal.

They've added a decent amount of performance fixes that help the GPUs actually work the way theyre suppose to which increases performance.

I personally will be disabling Post Processing, I HATE that damn setting.. and ill prolly lower or disable shadows as I don't much care for them anyway.. things of that nature.

I'm trying this game now, but I'm not sure it suits my taste in games. It looks cool and I can maybe see myself playing it a little , once in a while, but when the only real objective is literally to survive, it feels kind of tedious and mundane. Eat, drink, poop (I'm not kidding either), harvest various resources, build stuff, get better stats and diagrams and repeat. Oh... and tame dinosaurs for mounts and hunting backup which is kind of cool, but actually gets old.

Never done a early access game, but since getting a newer upgraded system decided to give this game a tryout.

Will try the singleplayer just to get used to it.

Might even try the PVE server.
