is it possible to get the witcher 3 trainer working on Aurora?

Games older than 2019 are not likely to be converted.

So a few things for this thread:

1) There is an update coming to the game when CDPR pushes out the Next gen update. They said those changes are coming to the PC version as well. It should be coming in the next couple of months, so if an update is required, could that be incentive to migrate to Aurora?

2) The tmp file thing seems to be a Windows 11 behavior. I just did a fresh build and OS install. I changed no settings at all, have no anti-virus or anything else installed. I only installed drivers. I then installed the game, tried to run the trainer, and the .tmp file dialog comes up instead of launching the trainer. So this is a functionality of the default install of Windows 11 that is likely causing this behavior. My guess is Smart App Control or the built-in AV or something else is in how Windows 11 handles application controls now is blocking the prior functionality. So to run older game trainers not in Aurora, Windows 11 users will likely need to manually allow those as they pop up.

Edit: So Windows built-in AV is likely blocking this. Just tell it to allow the threat for this file, and the trainer works.

Last edit. haha. So this is the same Trojan thing. Windows AV is dumb though. You can't just white list a specific folder. It whitelists any instance of Trojan:Wind32/Ymacco.AB4D, which is such a bad security practice. YIKES Microsoft. YIKES.

Never mind, found the setting. So anyone that sees the .tmp file issue. Go into the following:
1. Windows Security
2. Virus and Threat Protection.
3. Click Manage Settings under "Virus and threat protection settings"
4. Scroll to the bottom and under "Exclusions" click add or remove and then just add your trainers folder. It'll fix it for any trainer and not just blindly allow the trojan.

Nothing in the training (health, stamina, adrenalin etc) is on permanently. It is randomly switching off and is a little frustrating to use.

This something other folks have run into and are able to give me a pointer or two to fix the issue on my end?

Hello,

I have an issue where the trainer opens as normal but saids game not found. This is on Windows 11 on a highly modified installation. I have removed Windows spyware and Defender with no other anti-virus installed and the main user account has non-elevated rights but the trainer is ran as administrator. I will say that I sometimes get a memory access error when closing the trainer, I have used other trainers and not had any issues. Now I do have DDR4 ECC memory installed. I would like to find a fix for this but Aurora does detect the game when I run it so please when they release the next gen update please release it on that in December. I have also installed the .net framework x32 & x64.

we don't support modified operating systems because of the complications they cause, I suggest you reinstall stock windows and try again
