ok Trainer Format change = many FP on General Discussions Message Board - Page 1

MANY AV solutions are picking up FP AV alerts due to the new dropper method the trainer uses.

Initially it was only the high heuristics engines like NOD32 and Webroot. However, KAV, NORTON, AVIRA and SOPHOS has joined the fight.
It makes playing the game with the trainer impossible. It's either the trainer or PC security.

This is an issue for AV vendors, not Cheat Happens as it is their programs that are at fault and behaving improperly. You will need to open up a support ticket or however their defect / CRT managing system they use so that they no longer detect trainers.

I use Norton and all you have to do is set an exception for the trainer - not disable all security. Worst case it blocks the app the first time you run it, you get a pop-up then select options and tell it to ignore that file and you're in business.

It's pretty easy to overcome the issue (at least with Norton, I can't speak to the others).

FYI - I only get this issue with 0x90's trainers, not the "traditional" CH format.

I've never really understood how people are having issues with AV's and CH trainers, or why CH staff hates Avast! so much. I have been using Avast! for 2 years now and I have never ever had a Problem with any CH Trainer whatsoever.
It's easy to understand what's wrong and it's even easier to tell your AV what to ignore.

They are starting to false flag mine trainers. But it's not the trainer it's the packer I'm using. They just flag it by the name of the packer without saying it's dangerous at all. However if an alert window pops up about my trainer people think it's dangerous although because not everyone knows what a "Heuristic" flag means at all.

I'm actively monitoring packers but it's not a problem of THAT packer it's a problem of packers in general. It's part of the heuristic method to inform the user about: "Hey, this file is packed. Take care".
