    Ah PWiz n benduhova

Its encholadas that are the best.

Drenus age limits are there for a reason. Also a lad kills his freind after play manhunt which he was obessed with a hammer. Kid kills his family after idolising trevor from GTA V because of family issues to, 8 year ol kid kills his granny after GTA IV while he plays with a gun behind her while she watches tv. Or like a 6 year old that beats up women in GTA IV then Beats up a girl a school just as bad.

Sorry but after these the age rating should be in place. I could argue about trafic cameras are there to stop speeders because speeding can cause accidents. I could even say that allowing public keep guns to defend yourself. Sorry but in my veiw if you shoot some one you are attempting to kill them no matter what. If you want age rating dropped then when dont we stop it with drinking and driving age. Heck why dont we stop trying to stop Drug dealers or get rid of speed limits? Laws and ratings are there for a purpose. Your parents or you are responsible for your childrens well being. If your child go's loop nut or feels weird or gets more aggressive from playing games and takes it out on anyone else even you. Then its your fault. I became more aggressive from playing games. Hell I enjoy violence now from them. But would I want my kids to see the stuff that I have seen when I was young hell no. Everyone has the right defend their children and ask the Goverment to do something about it. Which they did with the rating system.

Am sorry but allowing a young kid to play violent games or watch violent movies that they are not at the age for aint cool. Get used to it the age limits are there for a reason. If you dont like it then go to your government and tell them why it should not be there! Yeah games help speed reaction time etc etc. I will still stand for the the limits. They aint hurting the kids at all! There is tons of games kids can play that aint just about killing n raping people etc etc.

and in all those cases, there is something wrong with the person/their upbringing/genes, but blaming it on the video game, HA!

if you want to limit yourself, and YOUR kids, then by all means, feel free to impose house rules, but don't you dare go into the shop, and tell me or other people what they should or should not buy

that came out alot more american than i had hoped for, but the point stands

    edit---

stop talking about food goddamnit, im getting hungry

Sorry but it still counts into the fact, you will always say that there is something wrong with the person/their upbringing/genes. Face it these incidents happened after playing these type of games there is always added factors. You just wont accept that it added to them. Your wanting an incident that only just involes the game and nothing else.

I aint limiting myself at all am 31 so bring on all the violent games, I will limit what my kids can play till they are the age for those type of games. Also I and many others have the right to say what we wish and have something done about. If democracy favors those people who want values like age limits etc etc. Then you will have to deal with it or do something about it that will change their minds.

What about this 13 Killed His Mom Because She Took Away Call Of Duty. Another under age kid obessed with a violent shooting game. M rated is 17/18 and above.....

Oh and am loving my Crunchie bars with my coffee. The Chocolate is melting from the heat of the coffee mmmm.

    *Update*

Right I feel this is going to just go back an forth.

Whats that term lets agree to disagree.... I think.

Also not giving up you are just obtuse to realise they added to the incidents!

well, i also have the right to tell you that you are very wrong, and unlike you, i have scientific studies, which i already linked some of, backing me up

and yet again, as for all your examples, you fail to realise that there is more behind the incidents than just ''play violent game, kill someone in real life''

thankfully i live in a country where people are smart enought to realise that age restrictions are not the way forward and never will be

    edit--

    i accept your surrender

Age restrictions only treat (one of) the symptoms, not the actual problem. In my humblest of opinions, the real issue is who is to blame? On the one hand you can blame the game producers for making the game that violent or sexual or you can blame the parents who let the kids play the games repeatedly, or you can blame the retailers who sold the kid the games, yada yada yada.

Oh, and God forbid we actually hold the kid who goes rambo responsible for their actions... Why people think that letting the government force things into the lives of private citizens is beyond me. Yeah, you might stop one or two crimes but the fact remains that despite these laws, someone always will find a way to circumvent them. Besides, preventative infringements on the rights of private citizens is a much greater crime with much further-reaching ramifications then any of the alternatives.

Typically I like to side with the guy presenting the research. Just can't bring myself to do it this time though, you're presenting yourself like a Psychology undergraduate. Here's why: You two are arguing completely different points, he not once argued playing video games, specifically FPS', don't increase hand eye coordination, reflexes, etc as your studies do show. He's saying playing these violent video games will increase the violence within the child. Which is unequivocally true, our experiences and environment shape our behavior. A person (regardless of age) who shoots people in games all day is going to think of the act of shotting people more than someone who plays only racing games. They spend their time thinking of how awesome that road they just drove was, not that they ought to blow away that old tard in the minivan with a shotty for tailgating them.

I don't blame anybody but our culture, it's a propaganda churning war machine! I love violent videogames, but because I am a gentle person that actually upsets me because we should be raising kids with love in their hearts for their neighbors, not malice. I am one of the least violent people any of you probably know but have violent thoughts constantly cascading through my head, and that is because of all the violence I have played, watched, and read. Videogames offer experiences, albeit artificial, they get recorded in the brain the same way because you are experiencing it with the same senses you perceive the rest of the world with. And children are very impressionable.
