Does anyone know how to edit player stats? Would be much obliged if someone knew how.

Use CoSMOS to edit the remaining points at character creation or level up. There are lots of tutorials on how to use CoSMOS online.
You can only add up to 10 attribute points and 15 skill points at character creation, at level ups you can go up to 20 attribute points and 5 more skill points per skill per level.
Make sure you leave at least one attribute at less than 20 so that you can continue to level up by editing the remaining points to zero (the game won't allow you to level up if you've got any points remaining). This will make sense once you've learned how to use CoSMOS.
