Total War: ATTILA Message Board  

I'm playing as eastern Roman empire and i received a message saying "Attila" was born. Around what year is the big hunic invasion supposed to occur?

Is there an event that places Attila in charge and the invasion starts? Anybody get that far?

By the way WRE is almost decimated in my game. I'm sure ERE would be in same problems if i wasn't playing them. They just seem kinda....weak???

I wouldn't call them weak. They did thrive for a good part of the Middle Ages. I hope CA does Total War: Medieval 2.

Uh... their decline was triggered by events depicted in the game, their demise & the various migrations occurring at the time are considered by most the beginning of the medieval/dark ages. Short version: They are supposed to get destroyed.

Medieval 2 was so poor compared to the original Rome that its easy to forget that it was a sequel and Rome was an original in the same generation.

Honestly, I hope they don't do a Medieval 3. Not because I don't think it wouldn't be bad, but I think they should try out a new era, maybe we'll see a Qin: Total War, Bronze Age: Total War or even a Three Kingdoms: Total War? Jk, but it would be interesting if they would do something that we haven't seen before.

However, as much as I'd like to see it, I can't see CA doing a WW1 and post WW1 warfare game anytime soon, at least with the current engine they're doing. It's a little too incompetent.
