How do I change the Resource Multiplier?

my steps:
- start the training
- start the game
- pressing f1 in the game
- start a campaign
- pause the game
- click on the option in the trainer to change / write a number in the white box
- pressing the hotkey + buying resource ingame
- multiplier didn't change stil the original multiplier

Am I missing steps? 🤔

Don;t have the game so I know as much as the readme.txt that comes with the trainer, Maybe someone will chime in or go to the discord. Lots of people there to ask.
