I suspect there will be some lonely folks out there who like the extra attention . . .
Anyway, after reading the links here and giving it all some thought, I'm going to install Win 10 on my laptop. I'll disable what I can and see how it runs. Worst case, if I hate it or my software isn't running properly I can always put Win 7 back in. I'll keep my PC as is with 8.1.

The Windows 10 Upgrade Does KEEP all of the windows 8.1 stuff for 30 days on the same Hard drive, so You can in theory install 10 on your main pc w/o issue..
The Cortana feature is amusing though. She makes Halo-related jokes.
One thing I'm really pleased about is that I can run The Sims 2 again, I could never get that to work on Windows 8. I did have to update my graphics card drivers though which was an annoyance.
