Now that Windows 10 has been officially released, I have had only one issue, EDGE doesn't do full-screen web videos... The media player also has that issue, Thankfully Google chrome works just fine and I use VLC w/o issue on Windows 10..

As for games, there is no difference in anyway at the moment, not until I get a DX 12 card anyways...

I did not do a clean install, I will get the ISO file later and do a Clean install if and when critical issues popup.

So far, I think this O/S is much better than Windows 8.1 pro.. That O/S won't be missed...

BTW, if you just upgrade w/o wiping the O/S HDD, windows 10 puts windows 8.1 in a safe place IF you want to downgrade for whatever reason, after 30 days those files get deleted automatically.

I just upgraded as well and kept all settings, down to the wallpaper. Aside from the different start menu and a weird bug that crashes explorer when right clicking some specific folders in the column folder explorer thing, no complaints at all. No compatibility issues, performance or any of that. I actually think it's slightly faster, even.

I just hope they didn't break all trainers again. o.O

Cheat Happens has been making W10 compatible trainers for months, so no worries there...

Windows 10 is nothing but keylogging/spyware junk.

Microsoft even admits it logs everything you do.

Hell look at Cortana that logs everything too.

"To work as intended, Cortana will need to read your email"

Then you get *forced* updates with no option to refuse.

Forced commercials if Microsoft wishes it.

Overall Windows 10 looks horrible to me (I'm still using Windows 7).

BUT what can we do?? Nothing... Microsoft is not going to release DX12 (DirectX 12) for Windows 7 (and not for 8/8.1 either) since they are making DX12 a Windows 10 ONLY update.

This means that despite how horrific Windows 10 is we have no damn choice but to *downgrade* to Windows 10 in the near future.

A time is going to come when most new games are DX12 and you either have Windows 10 or you can't play it.

That is when we will be forced at gunpoint to *downgrade* from Windows 7.

So as much as I hate Windows 10 I will be using it once it becomes REQUIRED for new games.

HOWEVER it is worth noting that it WON'T be required for new games any time soon since most games are DX9/DX11 now a days and I would expect DX11 to continue being supported for a number of years.

It depends really... If Microsoft starts bribing companies to make their games DX12 only MUCH sooner than expected then we surely have a big problem.

I want to hold off on the *downgrade* as long as possible... At least until there are 3rd party programs and modifications that remove all the spyware and forced updates and give you control over Windows 10 (and give back a proper start menu I hear StarDock Start10 is in beta!) so you can decide what happens NOT Microsoft.

So the bottom line? I hate Win10 but will have no choice but to use it once DX12 becomes required by games but by THEN I hope we have enough tools to remove the junk from Win10 and give us back control of our system.

    -- EDIT

Oh as a side note if you are sick of getting Windows 10 notifications you might want to see this

    www.groovypost.com/howto/remove-annoying-windows-10-upgrade-notification/

They have an app that removes everything to do with the Windows 10 notifications (it includes its source code for the paranoid people).

Alternatively you can follow the guide and remove all the updates that caused Windows 10 notifications to start spamming you such as removing KB3035583.

I will be putting Windows 10 on my work computer when I have the time to do so, probably this weekend. As for my home computer, I will consider doing when I am looking at upgrades to my computer towards the beginning of next year.

Not bugging from Win7 aint broken in my view. So no point upgrading.

That's what my Dad says about XP... That OS is SLOW as a

I never did like 7, I ditched it asap.. Besides, DX12 is only on 10... I will be getting DX12 cards in the near future..

You just didn't like the setup or it gave you problems? Not often that you hear complaints about Win 7, it's worked really well for me and most peeps I know that use it.

I think that I'm just one of those people who just didn't like windows 7, It worked okay, Sometimes, but of all the O/s'es I've had going all the way back to Windows 3.1.. Windows ME,Vista & 7 were the most likely to blue screen for no reason...

So far the only issue is the full screen bug on EDGE and Windows Media Player, other than that, no real issues..

On a non technical issue, I don't like the "New" Minecraft, sure you can play w/ Xbox Buddies, But I don't need or want that... Besides I have the Full Java PC version.. Much better in every way.
