It has more buildings, environments, maps, landscapes and more ecological options.
Plus it has workshop support on Steam, allowing public mods to be included.
The engine has been changed, it uses APIs more efficiently to stop memory leaks from before. But thats the pre-release version people have been getting to show it off.
I have only played it about 4 hrs, simulation type games are a bit meh for me, but still got picked for testing... at least I will give them bug reports, others have just been playing it and not reporting bugs etc.
Also in all fairness you can't watch a youtube video or a stream and think.... damn this is crap... because people have different PCs, if you watch a video of someone with an older architecture of hardware playing it - it will look slower.
So far it has been ok for me, and it does have a 64bit version so will use more RAM. And a game like this needs as much RAM as possible. Because each person, car etc has its own AI on where to go etc, that will push your system.
People who have Cities XL can get XXL for half price, so its not like it is breaking the bank.
You were silly getting a refund based on a video, think a few others said the same to you on Steam, yep I saw the thread there.
the previous games had a built-in cheat menu.

This REHASH is JUST THAT... Nothing really original, No true Multi core support... I saw way too many pictures & videos of peoples taskmanager showing only ONE CORE being used by XXL on a 8 core CPU...
I will be getting ASAP... I am done w/ FHI They almost screwed me over, I got an instant refund at 6 am Thankfully... I'll apply it towards Skylines... :-)
As for the trainer request points, I really don't care about wasting them... You guys deserve the credits for making this trainer regardless...

Unless they have the game windowed and the taskmanager is on top active along with the game, then yeah it will show 1 CPU usage, because when you minimize or leave the game process as non-active it holds so to speak, so only 1 CPU will be used.
Next time I play it, I will do it right and post a screenshot.

Also, while I'm on FHI, American Trucker? Won't buy it, it's Using ET2's engine...
Apparently Focus is TOO LAZY to make several new engines for their games...

Johnny mate. The ETS2 Engine is a good engine. American Truck Simulator is also using the same engine from ETS2 with a few tweeks. So I dont see a problem with them using an engine that is being used in a very successful Simulator game.

This might add a bit fuel to the fire, but I don't really care because your attitude is quite despicable to be honest, and not just in this topic.
I take it you don't like Cities XXL? May I ask you if you were in any way FORCED to buy it? Was someone holding you at gunpoint and demanding you to buy something you dislike? Would it kill you to wait for a few reviews/let's play videos?
Wanting studio to shut down and people to get fired just because you're not happy about products you clearly say you don't care about? Are you really that daft?
You also, obliviously obviously, don't understand how long and how many resources it takes to build a new engine. Just ask anyone who knows anything about coding/developing. If they were to make a completely new engine, it would take more time than making a whole new game. I'm guessing everyone should just port all games onto Unreal Engine 4 and CryEngine to keep the kids at bay because, hey the game isn't fun unless the graphics are from 2020.
In the end same rules apply to anyone and everyone. If you're not sure about the game, then don't buy it at launch and wait until reviews. No one's forcing you to buy/play something you dislike.
