    Moist Toilette, Mr. Linesma?

Made me think back to those monochrome green and amber monitors we used to use. Then came the CGA, EGA, VGA and SVGA. I'd guess there are still SVGA being used.

Man, we were desperate for computer anything and I was thrilled to get whatever I could. Those were the days. What was that first screen, like 8" or so?

Yup, the screen was a full 8 inches of green glory. Unless you were one of the rich kids who had a TRS-80 with the 10" color monitor.

It dawns on mt that my last CRT is still sitting upstairs. A 21" Sony SVGA that was absolutely glorious back in the day for gaming. Cost a fortune but lasted me many years.

Now it's main job is to anchor the house in a hurricane or tornado.

You know actually I think my last one at work was one of those XGA Hi-Rez white monochrome jobbies. Ever see one of those? Really easy on the eyes.

I never saw one of the white XGA monitors before. I will have to research it a little bit. As far as CRT monitors go, my last one was a 17 inch Iiyama Vision Master Pro. I replaced it back in 2004, but I held onto that thing until right before I retired from the Marine Corps. Our sound studio needed a new monitor, so I donated it to them.

I miss the 1ms 19inch monitor I had way back in the day. LCD or LED cant remember. Bought it from Dixsons in the City for about £120 or £150. I know it wasent any more than that. I was not crazy with my dosh back then. She was fine. Till I kicked it off the desk Right after the Damn warenty ended..... Made mental note not to have desk at the end of my bed then.....

Interesting. I actually clicked on this topic because a presenter in our class today was talking about Unreal Engine, and how the lighting and everything was fantastic. I didn't know how realistic it actually was until now. Pretty cool!
