Dede, lots of people have had crashing issues with FC4. There is even a tutorial for trying to resolve some of the issues.

That said, my personal opinion is that you're under powered for FC4. You have a 4 core AMD @ 2.8 Ghz. Steam's specs for Minimum Req is an AMD 3.2 Ghz AMD Phenom™ II X4 955. And their recommended spec is 4.0 GHz AMD FX-8350 which is 8 core. Those specs are right on Steam's Store page.

I believe there are games out there that you might enjoy more.

Since you like the Far Cry games, here's a few games to checkout that IMO you might also like if you haven't already played them:

Elder Scrolls Skyrim
Dishonored (and the DLC's are really good too)
Tomb Raider
Mass Effect series (dunno if or which trainers are up to date)
(especially ME2 and ME3)
The Witcher 1 and 2
Deus Ex: Human Revolution - Director's Cut (also good DLC)
Assassin's Creed 2 and Brotherhood
Singularity
Dead Space series (1, 2 and 3)
Borderlands series 1 and 2

I enjoyed all the above games, just check the system requirements on the Steam pages for each as well as checking the trainer status if you want to play with a trainer. You should be able to find most or all on sale at some point. Some are on sale now.

YMMV and some may disagree but that's what I think.
