Just wondering if anyone has experience on one of the party members die during combat and unable to revive them. The party members usually get "revived" when a quick travel back to the nearest camp is performed and swap (and/or re-swap) the party members.

I can't seem to figure out what causes this and/or preventing party members being revived after death.

I haven't had this happen to me yet. Are you using the trainer or the editor when it happens, or does it happen during normal play like a bug in the game?

    Hi lastrogue

It happens when I'm using the trainer. I have not used the editor as yet since the trainer is sufficient for almost everything.

so far, I had my main character, Cassandra and Varric died in combat. I tried not to bring Bull along unless necessarily as I thought the Reaver was causing the crash but doesn't seem like it.

Most often when a party member is dead, transporting back to the nearest camp will show the party member is alive with combat ready posture, unable to be selected and a "red skull" sign on the map. This issue can only be resolved once if you change the party member at the "Change Member" post, and then swap (or change) it back to the "dead" party member and everything will be back to normal.

    happy new year.
I had the same problem but only when i used the god mode on editor.
i couldn't revive my companion no matter what .So i just reload a save made a couple minutes back (or autosave if not overwritten) and un-checked the god mode on editor but use the infinity health on trainer...
    worked like a charm .

Question, how did your party die if you are using godmode...

I tested this a little and found that the spell revive seems to not broken unlike manual revive.

It happens if you turn off god mode, and then they die, and you turn it back on, and you try to revive them.

The unlimited party health isn't actually god mode, they still take damage, what it does is it just sets your current HP to 1 million and tells the game to freeze it there but doesn't modify your max hp.

If you turn off god mode, you die, and then turn it on. The game probably thinks you're now at negative 1 million hp but it only recognizes your party member's maximum hp (say it's at like 600). Revive basically is a heal that gives you like 10% of your hp back. But if your current hp is negative 1 million and the game is trying to heal you for 60hp, then you're not going to revive.

This is also why Reaver spec/Iron Bull does no damage if you use the trainer's god mode. Because Reaver spec's damage is completely based on %hp and damage is multiplied by bonuses. Problem is, they didn't think you'd have 1000000/600 hp so the bonuses go negative and instead of getting 10% dmg for every 5% hp you are missing, you gained like 1000% hp so you lost 2000% dmg.

You misinterpreted me, the SPELL revive works fine with godmode (for me at least) it is manual revive that is stuffing up. So if I revive with the spell its all good but if I do it manually fks up.

I haven't use the editor for any of the party but I noticed as soon as I upgraded the Reaver specialization on Bull or a Warrior character, my companions start dying around me whenever there is a Warrior in my party. I'm really confused.....
