Some time ago Borderlands pre seq. trainer and yesterday Far Cry 4 trainer had the same issue. Click to start, "Customized for: gottfridsson" then an hour glass, then nothing. During the hour glass 3-5 seconds a "*.tmp" process is running.

Mirosoft security essential <- real time protection disabled = no change.

Run as admin <- no change

Verdana font's <- look ok

Read through the trouble shooter, found the trainer manager and tried to run it that way, no change.

Read something about keyboard cache.. c'mon.. Everything from this site has been working all the time sometimes a run ad admin is needed. But as stated above I'm not having any such luck anymore :-/

It would be great with some kind of "trainer.exe /log=C:\temp\logfile.txt" or some other way to audit what fails. Instead of simply exit(0); a stdout print or logfile would help alot. Process monitor logging theese things aren't fun.

Take a look into your event viewer and see what it claims.

Clear out the windows temp folder and make sure the temp folder has full permissions. Something on your PC has changed or updated which is blocking the trainer from executing properly. Most likely AV, firewall or other security software or OS permissions. You can also try system restore to when they were working fine. The trainers create no log files.
