Not sure if anyone has mentioned this, i did a quick look but didn't see anything.

Basically you just need to use CoSMOS to find the value for influence, which updates frequently enough so it's easy to find, then change it to a high number like 500k or so, your influence should then be at 20, then you will have 19 perk points, go into war room and do a new scan for 19 spend 18 spend 17 etc then you can edit the ones you like. This is great for a couple reasons
1. You get really good crafting schematic for low level, so you can go and kill the fereldan frostback, use trainer for 99 crafting items and give your entire team dragon armor stuff.
2. You can get herbs for upgrading potions rather easily, out of the first ones you get the only missing reagent is deep mushroom which is in hinterlands
3. You can learn the lingo which opens up some dialogue options normally not available EX, when you recruit Ritts as an agent in hinterlands normally you would have to rely on varric, but with underworld lingo you can open up a new dialogue and its low level quest so usually done early

I have tried over 10 times now, and it doesn't let me edit it, it just reverts back, so I have no idea how you accomplished it...

I tried this but somehow even if i change the value of perks, it stays the same amount in game.

what type of digit is it? 4byte? float?

It't a normal 4bytes but...
The number you see is only the missing amount to the next level, not your actual influence. I tried searching before reaching the first level and it worked. After that it just adds up. What you can try is 'search unknown value' and 'search increased values by'. You need about 4 different values.

I tried all kinds, no matter what it reverts. And it does actually show it has changed, but then it goes back to what It should've been(influence)

EDIT: When I did the unknown thing, it caused lag fest and CoSMOS took 3k MB memory, I couldn't afford that so my game became unplayable

The influence and perks are 4 byte exact value. The only reason I would see this not working is if you are changing zones. Each time i did it successfully I believe I was in the same zone. On that note though, there is not 1 concrete value that i edited, after scanning you should come up with 6 different addresses but all with the same value. After changing all of them I believe it should update your influence automatically (can't remember for certain if you need to gain more influence in-game for the update to show).

As for the perk points just go to war room and scan for the number you have 19 if at 20 influence then spend and scan and like influence you should get 6 addresses same value again i just edited them all to desired number.

I didn't change zone, I did find 6 values, changed all when I got more influence it reverted back and gave me the amount I would've been at if I hadn't edited anything.
