Does anyone know if crafted gear will be better than what we can buy, considering we have no gold problem?

crafted gear is powerfull yes .. very. but you can buy thinks with almost the same stats.

but yes, i think crafted gear is more usefull than gear from a vendor.

Thanks. I avoid crafting in games. It's so tedious. But may make an exception to at least try it out in this game.

Yeah I am the same way I avoid crafting because it is too tedious and takes you so far out of your way to get the mats....

I will gather any materials I don't have, and then do the trainer toggle to get 99 of each. If done right, I can see the advantage.

I like crafting for the sole reason you can name the item.
Few are the games that give you the chance to wear an Electric Platemail of Bugaloo +42.

My experience with it has been kinda mixed. The raw numbers on crafted stuff can definitely skew higher than what you can afford, especially in the early going. However I've noticed that crafted stuff tends to lack the expansion/upgrade slots that a lot of the Blue and better bought or looted items do, so you can potentially find middle-of-the-road blue, upgrade the crap out of it and get better stats than a crafted item.

This is based on the first 2 tiers of crafting mats, haven't got to the "Masterwork" advanced stuff yet.

I would say the biggest advantage of crafting over buying/loot would be the lack of level restriction on crafted items. Given the right materials and plans you can craft gear far stronger then what your level would normally support.

Example: I have a crafted great sword that is on par with a weapon normally meant for level 17-18 at my current level of 11. Thanks to my first dragon kill, and a little trainer assistance .
