So, love Cheathappens trainers, been using them for a long time now. Bought a lifetime membership several years ago, never regretted it. But recently it seems the website is turning into a nightmare to be on. I had two friends I recommended this site to admonish me because they get spammed with popups, they refused to consider a membership to a site like this.
Why are you all doing this? It is ruining the site, it feels like I'm on some underground site that I have to be careful where I click or I might get malware. Is Cheathappens.com hurting for funding this badly? I feel it isn't a fix, since you will lose (have lost two at least) more customers, meaning less business, meaning more adds, which will drive away more customers, which will then cause less funding for the site, seems a horrible cycle to get into.

I have read through forum rules, afraid I might get banned or in trouble for stating this but could not find anything concerning what I posted, so please if there is an issue just delete the post and private message me what I did wrong so that I may correct myself in the future. Thanks!!

    Belal

Only seems to be happening with firefox. Chrome and IE don't have the popups or the blue text. Googling online finds posts on other sites complaining about cheathappens.com having this issue. Example of blue text that allows you to click, your posts has "popups" and "blue text" clickable for a site called keywordresults. I prefer Chrome nowadays, but it likes to mark all Cheathappens trainers as suspicious, so I use firefox to get my trainers. This was confirmed with my work computer at the office, my wife's pc next to me, one friend who lives in Anchorage with me and the other friend lives in Kentucky. All confirm Firefox has popups and blue text on Cheathappens.com, what browser are you using?

This is not coming from our site. We get 100,000 visits per day and YOU are the only one complaining about this. I just used Firefox and see no popups or blue text. This is most likely coming from some firefox addon or extension you have installed (or possible malware on your end).

I will then thank you for your response and see if I can find correlation between all these PC's with the same issue.

No, popup ever on my system. Just tried ie, chrome, and Firefox with no issue. Check your system might be infected or just use ad blocker on Firefox or chrome.

I have found the correlation between the five pc's. If you are a Groupon follower like myself, they did a "team up" with Coupon Companion. Within the last year the extension was not supported any longer, and further explanation:

    quote:
"akamaihd.net is a content delivery network used by internet giants like Twitter and Facebook to speed up their services. It is possible that this extension also uses akamaihd.net to feed you their advertising, but permanently blocking akamaihd.net may result in other web pages viewing incorrectly. "

Basicly if you have the extension Coupon Companion, remove it, it is no longer supported. Explains why IE and Chrome didn't have an issue, but yet was replicated on different computers not on the same ISP much less network, and seperate users experiencing the same problem. I will inform my two friends and ask them to reconsider cheathappens.com membership after walking them through removing this extension. I did find two website review posts putting down cheathappens for this issue, the two sites were webutation24.net and unfortunately my browser history isn't helping me find the second one. Might be a few other members experiencing this issue but just not caring enough to look into it further.

It's nothing new. It's hidden away in the EULAs of your extensions that nobody ever reads. You can read about it here: Link
